President of RA National Assembly Being on an Official Visit in Italy Meets with the Mayor, Prefect and Cardinal of Naples

On October 30, the President of the RA National Assembly being on an official visit in the Republic of Italy met with the Mayor of Naples Luigi de Magistris. The sides discussed the idea of making Naples and Yerevan sister cities. At Ararat Mirzoyan’s request Luigi de Magistris told him about the problems, challenges facing Naples and their solutions.

On the same day the President of the RA National Assembly also met with the Prefect of Naples Carmela Pagano. At Ararat Mirzoyan’s request the latter presented the peculiarities of the territorial administration and the infrastructures of Italy, as well as presented the mechanisms for effectively solving them through prefecturas.

In the framework of the official visit Ararat Mirzoyan also met with the Cardinal and Archbishop of Naples Crescenzio Sepe. The President of the RA National Assembly thanked the Cardinal for wonderfully preserving the Armenian trace and our joint spiritual heritage in Italy, especially in Naples. Highly assessing the cultural and spiritual ties between the two peoples Cardinal Sepe told him about the Armenian trace in Naples.
